Blushy Pinks are 2020’s “IT” Color of the Year!
Ah Valentine’s Day!!!
To me, Valentine’s Day means romance, flowers, candy, and an exuberant amount of pink and red decor.
Pink is a shade of red. But, ahh… Blush pink is a soft pale hue that is one of the happiest colors in nature. Think of blush pink as the insides of seashells, pale peonies and roses, or the morning sunlight as it fills the sky with a blaze of pinks.
If you want your home to be a relaxing sanctuary, blush pink is definitely worth considering.
Simply put, the color isn’t going anywhere fast. For those blush-obsessed (me included), I figured we may as well show you our favorite decor items entirely inspired by this romantic hue!
Personally, I’m obsessed with this mid-century modern Harcourt Sofa. Traditionally, pink might be a color you associate with a nursery, or a girl’s bedroom, but Pink has grown up and graduated into adult, gender-neutral rooms and decorating styles.
Not to be confused with bubble gum pink or bold and sexy hot pink, blush is a barely there hue that veers toward a neutral color. Consider pairing this Enzo Rug with furnishings featuring clean lines. It’s soft, pretty, and can be styled for a more transitional look.
Try using Blush Pink Artwork to tie together a room’s color scheme, or to determine what colors to use in a space. Interestingly, soft, pink shades have a calming effect, so it’s great for stress relief. What’s more, it can be tempered with various shades of grey to create a more masculine feel. The darker the grey the more masculine it will feel.
I mean, c’mon! Could this Malachi Dining Chair get any chicer? Blush pink is so soft it blends beautifully with a lot of different colors. Pair it with gold, and it’s perfect for a girly, glam look.
Well… you know what I like to say, “Chandeliers are ceiling jewelry!!!” Light fixtures can add a hint of blush in an unexpected place. I love this Pink Malibu Chandelier – it’s the jewel of any space!
Blush is a neutral color, and it plays well with other colors, but if you just want to try it out before making too much of a commitment to the color palette, a Pillow, or even a vase of blush flowers can add a classic, elegant touch to a room. Oh, the possibilities!
If you want to introduce just a little blush, try a simple Throw Blanket. My favorite thing about this throw is that it reads super soft and comfy chic!
