What is Tweaking About? This review from a colleague pretty much sums it up. I thought instead of writing it in my words, here are hers:

What is Tweaking simplified?
Tweaking is where we take your existing furniture and accessories, sometimes a few new things, and move them around to give you a fresh new look. 

Will you only be using items in my current space?
Not necessarily, we may edit out pieces or use items from other rooms to create the desired look.

What if I don’t have enough accessories?
That’s OK, we can shop for you and find new items using a budget you set for us for new items. 

What if I want to start from scratch with everything new?
We can work within your budget to give you a completely custom masterpiece.

Do you work with specific budgets? We work with all budgets and pride ourselves with creating beautiful spaces within the budget you set for us.

What if I don’t like it?
Because we’re using what you already have, if for any reason you’re not happy with the placement of your things, we’ll put them back in their original place. No questions asked and at no charge to you.

Can I see my design before you order? Although we think it’s more fun to completely be surprised on the day of your Tweak, we do offer a Tweak Peek. This gives you a chance to look at the design before anything is ordered.

Why do I pay extra for a peek? You save money if you don’t need a peek. You’re in charge of the budget. You can mix and match menu items to create the perfect combination that suits you. 

How does the purchasing process work? After “shopping” in your home using the inventory of your existing items documented on the day of your consultation, the process used in the selection of the items purchased is largely controlled by the design. We then search vendors to find items that fit the design and satisfy your preferences. Our goal is always to use the budget in a way that achieves your aesthetic goals within the budget you have set.

What if I have concerns about an item purchased? Please bring these to my attention immediately and we will discuss your concerns and if necessary, find a more desirable solution.  The decision about what is purchased and installed in your home is ultimately yours. 

Can I shop on my own? You have hired Tweak Your Space to design and complete a vision for your space, and we ask that you do not select or purchase items because that selection may not be a fit for the design, space, or budget.

What if I can’t afford to buy new things?
We don’t need new things to give you a fresh new look. We will “shop” around your home for what we need.

How long does Tweaking take?
Once we have everything we need, we Tweak Your Space in a day. You leave in the morning and return that afternoon to your brand new space!

How long will it take from the time orders are placed, to the day of my Tweak? This depends on the scope of the project and what is purchased. Occasionally there are delays caused by weather, vendor vacations, factory errors, and other unpredictable influences that are out of our control. 

When are payments due?
A 50% deposit is due at the time of your contract signing. If there is an accessory budget, 25% of the total agreement is due upon the ordering of your new accessories.  Your remaining balance is due in full plus any add-ons the day of your Tweak.

Will there be delivery and setup charges?
Sometimes there will be delivery and setup charges for items that were shipped to us prior to your Tweak or we may need to move or hang an item that is too heavy that will require additional charges. We will let you know ahead of time so that you can be prepared. These charges will be due the day of your Tweak.

Can I leave my pets at home?
We ask that all pets be in or at a secure location. It’s not safe for little paws during the Tweaking process.

Do you take credit cards?
Not at this time. Cash, checks or cashier’s checks please.

Do I need to do anything in preparation for the day of my Tweak?
We ask that you leave your home as neat as possible and make sure your pets have a safe place to spend the day during your Tweak.
