New Trend: Under the TV Art

Here at Tweak Your Space, we are always looking for new and inventive ways to re-use the accessories and furniture owned by our clients.

While Tweaking The Lanai House we had an enormous amount of framed art to work with.

We knew we could go traditional, and create a group pairing of framed pieces, but we thought we should do something different.

That’s when it hit us- Under the TV art.  Art for underneath your mounted television!

Now, we have seen versions of this in the past.

Art has continuously been installed surrounding the television, above it and beside it. Wright Street Design Group had a wonderful design seen above.

We even installed 6 of Crate & Barrel’s Clarendon Mirrors around the TV in the living room of The Lanai House.

But we wondered, why hasn’t anyone ventured to install pieces below the TV?

If you have a console table sitting there, well then it’s understandable.

However, if your electrical is completely mounted and hidden, well then now we are looking at tons more wall space able to be filled with art!

The Lanai House featured a “Man Cave” with a super cool mounted TV projector.

When we walked into the Man Cave on the day of the Tweak, there were about 25 picture frames sitting along the back wall.

Some of which we then dispersed around the house in various ways.

The problem was that the projector took up a lot of wall space in the man cave.

We barely had any walls to work with.

We grabbed ahold of 4 identical frames, inserted photos of the client’s children, and used them underneath the TV

so that Mr. Man Cave could gaze at photos of his family while also watching the game on the big screen.

We at Tweak Your Space will always make a place for

some good wall decor.

Even if we must place it underneath the television!
