Knot Your Typical Chair!

Traditionally we think of seating as a piece of furniture that sits on the floor. For something a little outside the box and fun, hang your seating! With Boho style so popular these days, we created a Bohemian-Lounge themed room which gave us the perfect opportunity to hang a hammock chair!

Here is what you will need: Screw Eye, S-Hook, Stud Finder and extra rope.

Check out the Step-By-Step Tip Below!

Tip: Make sure to measure the width of your hammock chair (horizontal bar the chair is attached to), this will let you know how much clearance to leave so that the hammock chair swings freely without banging the walls.

  1. Use a Stud Finder to locate a floor or ceiling joist in your ceiling
  2. Install Screw Eye into joistAdd additional rope, as needed, so that your chair is at the desired height, approximately 24” from the floor. Keep in mind the chair is made of rope and will stretch closer to the floor when you sit in it
  3. Add additional rope, as needed, so that your chair is at the desired height, approximately 24” from the floor. Keep in mind the chair is made of rope and will stretch closer to the floor when you sit in it
  4. Use S-Hook to attach the chair to the Screw Bolt
